Niger Government Dissolves State Electoral Commission

Niger State Governor, Umar Bago has dissolved the State Independent Electoral Commission.

This is contained in a statement issued by Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman in Minna on Sunday.

Alhaji Abubakar, in the statement said that the dissolution was with effect from May 29, stating that the members of the commission have been directed to hand over all property of the state government in their possession to the most senior Director with immediate effect.
