The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye has retired after 35 years of service and 10 months of heading the state police command.
During the ceremonial pull-out parade held at the Ekwueme Square, Awka, on Saturday, Adeoye recounted how he had performed well at various police units, serving many police commissioners.
He also shared that he was fully prepared for the job when he assumed office, an attribute which helped him to tackle the security challenges in Anambra, reducing them to the barest minimum.
The state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyeka Ibezim, representing the governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, equally commended the retiring CP at the ceremony for his efforts at reducing insecurity within the state.
