The widow of the late Yoruba movie star, Mufutau Sanni Abdulahi, known as Ajigijaga, has bravely spoken out about the hardships she and her children have endured following her husband’s passing.
In an emotional interview, she recounted the distressing events that unfolded after her husband’s demise. She revealed that on the very day he passed away, she was forcefully evicted from their home by her late husband’s family, leaving her and her children with nothing.
Struggling to make ends meet, she now relies on street hawking to provide for her family. Adding to her burden, she expressed her disappointment at facing reluctance from others to offer assistance.
She said, “The day he died, his family pursued me out of our house, saying they couldn’t take care of me and the kids. I didn’t take a dime from the house, even clothes, it was just me and my kids.”
“Now that he is dead, I am now a hawker, this was something he never allowed me to do when he was alive. I have to hawk so I can feed my children.
“No one wanted to help me because they didn’t want people to misunderstand them and claim they were sleeping with her.”
