National Bureau of Statistics Confirms Nigeria’s Inflation Hit Over Twenty-Two Percent In June

The National Bureau of Statistics has revealed that Nigeria’s annual inflation rate has accelerated for the sixth consecutive time to twenty-two point seven-nine percent in June 2023, compared to twenty-two point four-one percent in May 2023.

The National Bureau of Statistics stated that the June 2023 inflation rate showed an increase of zero point three-eight percent when compared to the rate in May 2023.

On an annual basis, the NBS further stated that the inflation rate was four point one-nine percent higher compared to the rate recorded in June 2022, which was eighteen point six-zero percent.
