Unilorin Don urges Nigerians to become critical prophets

A professor of Christian studies of the department of religions of the Faculty of art at the University of Ilorin, Pius Abioje has called on Nigerians to strive to become critical prophets as part of effort to speak against evil in the country.

The don who made the call while delivering his paper titles “Christian prophets and other prophets in Nigeria” described critical prophet as people who rebuke social in justice and ensure social sanity.

Abioje, who described late Gani Fawehinmi SAN as a critical prophet, urged people in the position of authority to be critical prophets as partners in progress towards human edification.

As reported by our correspondent Olarotimi Oshin, the don who said Nigeria needs high number of critical prophets who will be bold enough to speak against evil, urged Nigerians to keep saying the truth even when it is bitter.
