President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau has visited injured Super Eagles players, William Troost-Ekong and Zaidu Sanusi in Europe.
Troost-Ekong played through his injury to help the Super Eagles finish second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, and the defender eventually underwent surgery a few days after the tournament.
Gusau discussed with Troost-Ekong on the importance of the Super Eagles upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Meanwhile, the NFF boss was also in Portugal to see how well Porto defender, Zaidu Sanusi, is recovering from his injury.
Sanusi had sustained an injury while in action for his club after returning from AFCON duty.
