In yet another brazen attack by suspected bandits, a community between Maloko and Sulu, two quiet villages in the Omupo District of Ifelodun Local Government Area in Kwara State, reportedly fell victim to violence on Friday.
It was gathered that during the attack, three individuals, including two females, were abducted by the assailants. However, one male victim managed to escape from the clutches of the bandits.
Swift action followed as local hunters and vigilantes mobilized to pursue the perpetrators. Their efforts led to the successful rescue of the two abducted females and the apprehension of two suspected bandits.
While details remain sketchy, unconfirmed reports suggest that one of the suspected bandits met his demise during an exchange of gunfire with the pursuing hunters and vigilantes.
The Kwara State Police Command spokesperson, Ejire Adeyemi Toun, while speaking to RoyalFM News said she is yet to confirm the incident, promising to revert when there is an update on the incident.
