Voters in the local government election in Edo state on Saturday reportedly came out in low numbers to constitute their constitutional right even as election materials arrive late in some polling units.
According to information gathered, voters were kept waiting in long queues at some polling units in Benin as electoral materials failed to arrive at 8:00 a.m. as scheduled by the electoral umpires.
It was gathered that the election materials in Egor Local Government arrived a few minutes before ten’o’clock, while some political agents arrived at the polling units earlier.
