The Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Yakubu Salihu-Danladi over the weekend led dignitaries from all walks of life to the launching of Unleashed Dreams; A Thorny journey to Tranquility, a memoir by Kwara born Barr. Titilope Anifowose in Ilorin Kwara State, over the weekend.
The book which documents the trajectory of the author, highlighted her ups and lows throughout her earthly sojourn.
The lawyer turned oil and Gas player while speaking about the book said “This is a reflection of my own journey, an account of how I navigated a world rife with challenges, and how I found purpose and meaning in the pursuit of my dreams. As an individual who has thrice walked away from a position many Nigerian youth would give anything to occupy, I have come to appreciate the lessons learned from my experiences both good and bad.
“I hope that by sharing my story, I can empower young people to distinguish between patriotism and extremism, to understand the importance of resilience and to realise that they can achieve greatness no matter their circumstances” she added.
Speaking at the event, RT. Hon. Yakubu Salihu-Danladi while commending the author, encouraged other Kwarans across the globe, especially the youth to take a cue from the author who he described as a pathfinder.
He said “I am always elated to here news of wonderful exploits by Kwara born youths, Titilope is an inspiration to several youths, she’s been consistent pursing her believes of serving and impacting humanity positively, if we have all young Kwarans with similar mindset, our State will be the better for it.
“I commend her for documenting her life experiences, it’ll serve as a guide for the generations coming behind and in her, especially the girl-child have a worthy role model and mentor” he added.
Speaking in the same vein, the Chairman of the Occasion, Prof. Wale Suleiman commended the author for coming up with the book, stressing that if Kwara of our dreams must be birthed, the Kwara youths must learn and imbibe perseverance, integrity and consistency and above all eschew the get rich quick syndrome.
The Chief Host, Otunba Toba Oloyede however commended the author for always being a dependable and reliable partner, who’s always ready to volunteer even if it means displeasing herself to please her acquittances.
