Russia claims one thousand and twenty-six Ukrainian soldiers in the city of Mauripol has surrendered.
Following the claims from Russia, a top adviser to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky insists that the city is still standing and the marines have joined another battalion to fight against Russia.
On his part, the mayor of Mariupol says about twenty-one thousand civilians have been killed in the southern city and a hundred thousand are still awaiting evacuation.
