An Israeli airstrike on Wednesday targeted a residential building in Damascus, Syria’s capital, resulting in two casualties.
According to Syrian state television, the strike wounded several others, with the victims identified as civilians.
The attack, located in the Kafr Sousa district, left a multi-storey building charred, though reportedly did not achieve its intended objectives, as per a security source.
Kafr Sousa, known for its residential complexes, schools, and Iranian cultural centers, previously faced Israeli strikes in 2023, resulting in the deaths of Iranian military experts.
The situation remains tense, with additional explosions heard in the capital later in the day.
