The residents of Kwara State have reacted to the plan of the federal government to increase electricity tariff despite the tough economical condition created by fuel subsidy removal on May 29.
It could be recalled that the federal government has made a plan to increase electricity tariff by 40 percent starting from the first of July 2023.
Speaking with RoyalTimes Correspondent, Opeyemi Akeredolu, a fashion designer, Mrs Tinuke urged the government to consider the plight of the citizens, adding that fuel and electricity are essential commodities for the survival of businesses in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Mrs Olayemi Favour , a resident of Sabo Oke lamented the effect the decision will have on the economy, adding that the fuel subsidy has affected the price of commodities.
