In a bid to inspire and motivate individuals to step out of their comfort zones and embrace growth, Alhaji AbdulFatai Adeniyi Dankazeem, CEO of Dankazeem Productions and a former top official of the Kwara state Ministry of Information, delivered a thought-provoking keynote speech at the annual retreat jointly organized by Rasolak Services Nig Ltd and Fesol Unique Concept in Ilorin over the weekend.
Themed ‘Moving From Comfort Zone To Growth Zone: A Panacea For A Successful Venture,’ Dankazeem highlighted the significance of navigating through various zones in life for personal development and success.
The retreat was attended by dignitaries such as Hajia Rihanat Olakangudu and Hajia Khadijat Olakangudu, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Olusola Olakangudu’s mother and wife respectively, Lion Prince Falola Adepegba, among others.
Alhaji AbdulRazaq Olusola Olakangudu, the Executive Chairman of Rasolak Services Nig Ltd and Fesol Unique Concept, commended Dankazeem for his insightful presentation and urged the staff of both companies to prioritize transparency, dedication, teamwork, and a vested interest in the development of the organizations.
Dankazeem distinguished between the comfort zone, fear zone, learning zone, and growth zone, emphasizing the need to leave the comfort zone for personal and professional growth.
He highlighted the comfort zone as a place of security and familiarity, cautioning against the dangers of stagnation and boredom that can arise from excessive comfort.
“The fear zone is a place of stress and uncertainty,” Dankazeem stated. “It is crucial to recognize it as a temporary phase, seek support, and find ways to alleviate stress. Moving from the fear zone to the learning zone involves facing challenges, solving problems, and acquiring new skills, while the growth zone represents higher purpose, vision, talent development, self-growth, and self-motivation.”
Providing practical tips on stepping out of the comfort zone, Dankazeem urged individuals to surround themselves with confident people, take gradual steps, consider potential outcomes, start small to form habits, reward themselves for embracing discomfort, and visualize a serene place to maintain calm.
In his closing remarks, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Olusola Olakangudu acknowledged the success of Rasolak Resources NIG Ltd and Fesol Unique Concept, attributing it to the delivery of quality work. He urged the staff to avoid wasting materials at project sites and promised to recognize outstanding employees.
Responding on behalf of the staff, Mr. Kunle Atanda, the Human Resources Manager, expressed gratitude to Alhaji Rasaq Olakangudu for his dynamism and creative leadership, pledging the total cooperation and commitment of the company’s workforce to its continued success.
The annual retreat concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among attendees, eager to embrace growth and contribute to the success of their respective ventures.
