Return salaries immediately, Supreme court tells sacked Rep, Hembe

The Supreme Court has dismissed an application filed by Herman Hembe, sacked member of the House of Representatives from Benue State.

Hembe filed an application, stating that he had spent all the salaries paid to him.

A five-man panel of judges led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen said the judgement could not be revisited.

It could be recalled that the Supreme Court had sacked Hembe, ruling that Dorathy Mato won the Vandeikiya/Konshisha federal constituency election and ordered Hembe to return all salaries paid to him throughout his stay in office.
