Kwarans have supported the move to make a law that would disallow the sale of alcohol and drugs in motor parks across the state to reduce road fatalities.
This comes as the Lagos State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, on Thursday, called on stakeholders in the Lagos State transportation sector to make a law that would disallow the sale of alcohol and drugs in motor parks across the state to reduce road fatalities.
Our Correspondent, Opeoluwa Joseph who went into town to feel the pulse of residents on the move, spoke with the General Chairman, Road Transport Employee Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Ero omo, Offa Garage branch, Alhaji Abdurazak Ajala who said the association is also in support of the move to ban sales of alcohol and its use in the parks, especially as it is part of it rules and regulations to all its drivers not to drink before or while driving.
Some passengers and Drivers also urged the Government to support the move to ban sales of alcohol and drugs in motor Parks while calling on drivers to change their attitudes such as speeding, use of phone while driving, over loading and wrongful overtaking on the road.
Drivers are also advised that if they have drinking plans not to drive, instead to try and arrange how to get home before they head out with some of these options which include taking Public transport, ordering for a ride, among others.
