Kwara state government reportedly broker truce with medical doctors over demand

The Kwara State Government has reportedly brokered a truce with the State members of the Nigerian Medical Association ( NMA) over the  demands of Medical Doctors working in the State health establishments.

The truce was reportedly reached on Monday at the meeting led by the State Head of Service, Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole held with the Executive members of the state N.M.A led by the Chairman, Dr. Abdulkadir Ola Ahmed.

Medical Doctors in the State had last week, in a letter, given the Government a 21 days ultimatum to attend to their requests or face strike action. The Head of service enjoined members of the Association to excercise restrain, stressing that the threat to embark on strike was uncalled for at this moment
