Kaiama people protests Zakari’s continued delay of constituency projects

Residents of Kaiama did not end the year 2018 on a delightful note with the lawmaker representing their Kaiama-Baruteen federal constituency, Honorable Zakari Mohammed, as they took to the streets on Monday, the last day of 2018 to protest the delay in delivery of tractors entitled to them as part of Zakari’s constituency project.

The protest follows a sensitization program held for the people by a Kwara based civil society organization, Elites Network for Sustainable Development, ENetSuD, which had continuously challenged the lawmaker  to make available, the tractors.

Honourable Zakari had explained that the constituency is yet to take delivery of the whole tractors supply from the contractor. But on Monday, the protesters marched through the major roads of Kaiama displaying several placards, demanding supply of the tractors even as they said failure to supply what belongs to them may negatively affect the lawmaker’s Senatorial bid in 2019.

Groups that led the protest include Kaiama Development Association, Kaiama Youth Movement, and Luda WAH LEK KEH DOW meaning, God, let us have one mind to fight development. They were led by their leaders.
