The Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday urged Kwarans to embrace sincerity, fairness, compassion, and community spirit, emphasizing the power of unity and cooperation to achieve greatness.
The State Governor, speaking at the 2023 public commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad in Ilorin, alongside prominent religious leaders such as the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, as well as cabinet members, urged the Muslim faithful to embrace the timeless values of sincerity, fairness, compassion, constant remembrance of God, and a strong sense of community built on the fear of God and collective good.
Governor AbdulRazaq conveyed his heartfelt wishes and emphasized the importance of unity, saying that there is no limitation to how far the state can go if the masses act as a community of people united by common humanity and interdependence.
The Grand Kadi, Justice Abdullateef Kamaldeen, who keynoted the event, said the Maulud offers a ground for introspection for the Muslims, especially the people of Ilorin before calling for patience and understanding as the country matches through a new economic phase with the removal of fuel subsidy.
