Suspected cultists have reportedly resumed a supremacy battle in Sagamu, Ogun State, barely two months after many youths were killed in the community.
It would be recalled that about twenty people were killed in September when members of the Eiye and Aiye confraternities clashed, with the state government declaring a curfew to curtail the killings.
The cultists, however, reportedly resumed killing on Friday by shooting two people dead at the Latawa area of Sagamu, with Police Spokesman, Omolola Odutola, on Saturday, confirming that there was a suspected murder incident in Sagamu.
Odutola quoted the Sagamu Divisional Police Officer, as saying that while he and his men were on a vehicular patrol along Ewusi Street towards Ita Oba roundabout, they intercepted information about a shooting incident with the body of the deceased transported to a nearby morgue, with two large cowries found on him.
