In preparation for the tenth Kwara Trade Fair, the Kwara State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) has disclosed plans to showcase the mineral resources in each local government and woo investors to the state.
Speaking during a press briefing with journalists on Wednesday in Ilorin, the president of KWACCIMA, Chief Mrs. Ronke Adeyemi said the objective of the trade fair is to showcase the beauty and resources of Kwara State.

“The trade fair is an avenue for us to showcase what we have as individuals, as companies, as local governments, and even as a state. This is the 10th edition that we are holding, and we thank God that it has been successful from one year to the other. And we know that by the grace of God, this year’s own will be even much more successful than all the previous years”, she said.

While disclosing the efforts of KWACCIMA to ensure items sold at the Trade Fair are affordable, Chief Mrs Ronke also said that the commerce body has made participation fee affordable for the entrepreneurs and investors.

On his part, the Chairman of the 10th Kwara Trade Fair, Engineer Abu Salami revealed that in order to add glamour, other activities such as musical concerts, talent hunts and a children fun-fair arena will be added to increase human traffic at the fair.

“We are fully aware of the high expectation of exhibitors, vendors and prospective buyers as a result of the success recorded in the past Trade Fairs, and we are channeling all efforts towards living up to the high standard already achieved”, he said.
Salami added that, “In our bid to add glamour to the 10th Kwara Trade Fair, we have designed the fair to feature, in addition to normal exhibition of physical products and services, other activities such as musical concerts, talent hunts and children fun fair arena to increase human trafficking to the fair”.

The Honourable Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, represented by her Director of Commerce, Elder Taiwo Adebisi opined that the event will serve as a catalyst that will bring together investment and business trade while giving businesses in Kwara an opportunity to be exposed to future workshop seminars and network platforms
