Mallam Shehu Usman, the Commissioner of Environment in Kwara State, has asserted that Kwara stands out as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, providing an ideal environment for businesses to thrive.
He made this statement during an interview with RoyalTimes at the 10th Kwara Trade Fair held at the Kwara Stadium, Taiwo, Ilorin.
In his remarks, Commissioner Usman underscored the peaceful nature of Kwara State, citing it as a key factor for creating a conducive atmosphere for business growth.
He highlighted the transformative agenda of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, focused on reshaping the perception of Kwara from being primarily a civil servant state to one that fosters a robust business and private sector.
“ We are doing well. As you can see, Ilorin is a meeting point between north and south. You can see how peaceful we are. And looking at our environment, we are working hard to make sure that business companies have a conducive environment to actually showcase their businesses. The security is also intact. Kwara is one of the most peaceful states in the country and that is why we are having it well. And coupled with the agenda of the executive governor of Kwara State changing the former narrative of Kwara being a civil servant state to a highly business and private state as we’re having it now. My colleague has just explained details of all what we have put in place that is coming up. Going to 2024, Kwara’s look will be different.,” stated Mallam Usman.
He emphasized that the conducive environment for businesses is further facilitated by the significant presence of security measures implemented across the entire state.
The Commissioner’s comments align with the broader vision of the Kwara State government to attract investments, promote economic diversification, and create an environment that encourages entrepreneurship.
