Senate President Bukola Saraki today lamented the malfunctioning of card readers at some polling stations in Kwara State. He also decried low voter turnout in the state, compared to what obtained during the February 23 presidential/National Assembly election.
Saraki said this after voting at his polling unit at Ajikobi Ward, Agbaji area of Ilorin West Local Government Area.
Elsewhere, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC vying for the Oke-Ero constituency seat in Kwara state House of Assembly Candidate, Ralph Adetiba has alleged that there was an orchestrated plan to work against his candidacy at his Ekan ward, Oke-Ero Local Government polling booth.
He lamented that the electoral officer at his polling booth attempted to intentionally short-change the number of ballot papers allotted to his polling booth, but his people fought to ensure adequate supply of the voting materials.
Adetiba also expressed dissatisfaction about the low turn-out of voters and shortage of security agents. He however expressed the confidence of winning the election.
