Victor Boniface has refused to take all the accolade for Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive start to the new season.
Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in all competitions this season and sit at the top of Bundesliga table, with the Eagles striker scoring seven goals and created two assists in seven games.

“It’s not down to me. Leverkusen signed six or seven players, and mine is to help the team and they’re doing the same. This is not just about me. It’s also for the team,
Boniface also praised the manager Xabi Alonso for his impact in the team’s success this campaign.
“He’s a great guy, great coach, and a great football player. The passion is there and he knows what he wants. Working with him makes me happy.”
