Speaker Seeks Support For Kwara Government On Culture, Tourism
The Speaker, of Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Salihu-Danladi, has urged the people of the state to support the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in his quest to make the state economically viable with culture and tourism development as catalysts.
Yakubu said this in an interview with journalists at the 2023 Gaani Festival in Gwanara Emirate, Baruten Local Government Area of the state on Saturday.
Punch gathered that the speaker noted that the present administration has shown its commitment to using culture and tourism to stimulate the state’s economy, especially with heavy investments in the creative industry.
He explained that the governor has also given priority to the promotion of culture in the three senatorial districts of the state through the annual celebration of festivals of local communities.“We urge the governor to keep up the work, and as legislators, we will support him to promote culture and tourism”, the speaker said.
