PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to Nigerians especially those of voting age to make the forthcoming governorship and house of assembly elections better than the presidential and National Assembly polls.
In his address to Nigerians on Wednesday, the President noted that local and international observers have adjudged the Presidential election to be free and fair”.
The President has also urged the electorate to come out en masses and cast their votes bearing in mind that the Saturday’s election is as important for good governance as that of the presidency and the National Assembly. He noted that governance at the state level is closer to the people and should touches their lives more directly.
President Buhari commiserated with the families of those that dead as a result of violence in the presidential and National Assembly elections as well as those who sustained injuries during the exercise and appealed to the youths not to allow themselves be used as political thugs during the elections.
President Buhari also encouraged the voters to avoid all form of malpractice in the coming polls, promising that the safety of all the electorates is guaranteed.
