Osun Governorship Judgement: Osun police Warn Against Disruption Of Peace

Ahead of today’s judgement of the Supreme Court on the July 16, 2022, Osun governorship matter, the Osun State Police Command has warned against acts that can cause disruption of public peace.

It was gathered that an unusually large presence of security personnel have been deployed at strategic locations in the state ahead of the judgement. Reports gathered that security personnel were observed at Old Garage, Olaiya Junction, Oke Fia and Alekuwodo area and Osogbo-Ikirun road -all within the Osogbo metropolis.

Speaking with newsmen, the Osun command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, said security measures have been put in place to protect lives and property before and after the Apex Court has delivered its verdict on the governorship matter.

Opalola, while warning against unruly behaviour, said the operatives have been properly briefed and would not tolerate any act that can infringe on other people’s rights.
