NNPP, Labour Party Debunks Merger Talks With Other Parties

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) said on Thursday in Lagos that it is not engaging in merger talks with any political party.

The Guardian added that the statement is contained in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji AbdulRazaq AbdulSalam.

Similarly, the Labour Party (LP) on Thursday debunked reports which claimed that it has opened merger talks with some other political parties.

Labour Party spokesperson, Obiora Ifoh, in a statement, refuted such reports and urged the public to disregard the sensational news. Ifoh also said that news making the rounds that the Labour Party is into merger talks is “twisted to embarrass the Labour Party”.
