A former member of the House of Representatives, Nnenna Ukeje has listed security and more appointive positions as some of the things women want from the President Bola Tinubu led-government.
The ex-lawmaker who represented Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State said this on a monitored television interview on Friday adding that women want the government to create a secure environment for them to be able to go to farms as subsistence farming is really carried out by women.
Ukeje advocated for more investment and opportunities for women, saying that they do not want handouts.
She also called for more appointive positions for “deserving women” across the country, saying it would help see the nation progress.
