After eleven days of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, the families of the passengers on board on the train on Thursday staged a peaceful protest in Abuja and urged Federal Government to enhance its efforts in rescuing their loved ones.
It is recalled that on March 28, terrorist blew up rail tracks on the Abuja-Kaduna route, killing eight passengers with forty-one injured and many abducted.
Aliyu Mahmud, a relative of a seven month pregnant woman and her husband, who were abducted during the attack pleaded with the Federal Government to do the needful and rescue his loved ones.
While another protester, Aminu Uthman, a relative of a couple who are also abducted said the last few days has been difficult for him, adding that he cannot sleep or eat.
While pleading on behalf of all Nigerians, Aminu confirmed that the Bandits called once but did not make any request.
In his remarks, the Defense Headquarters, on Thursday assured Nigerians that its working hard to end all forms of terrorism in the country.
