Honorable Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, the tenth Kwara State House Assembly, representing Ilorin East Constituency, commenced payment of school fees for 120 students awarded scholarships a few weeks ago.
Recall that the House of Assembly member on October 1, 2023, awarded scholarships to 120 outstanding and less priviledged students in Ilorin East Local Government.
The scholarship scheme initiated through the Mohammed Alabi Lawal Foundation also included the payment of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examination for the beneficiaries.
Hon. Arinola, while announcing the commencement of the payment, emphasized the significance of education in shaping the future of young individuals and society as a whole.
She stressed that the primary objective of the scholarship scheme is to promote education among the youth and contribute to the reduction of out-of-school children in the community.
“I am pleased to announce the commencement of the payment of school fees for 120 deserving students who have been selected as beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme initiated through the Mohammed Alabi Lawal Foundation.”
