Ajakaye to speak at Kwara NUJ’s 37th Media Parliament

Ajakaye to speak at Kwara NUJ’s 37th Media Parliament

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kwara State, Rafiu Ajakaye, is billed to feature on the 37th Media Parliament of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Ajakaye will speak on the theme “Unleashing Kwara Economic Potentials: AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s Magic Wand for the next Four Years” on Thursday, 20th July, 2023 at NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin at 11am.

A statement issued in Ilorin by the Chairperson and Secretary of Kwara NUJ Media Parliament Committee, Fatimah Rasheed and Babajide Fadeyi respectively, said the theme of the parliament was borne out of the need for Kwarans to be enlightened on the programmes and policies of the state government, particularly in the area of economy in the next four years of the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq.

It noted that Ajakaye, who has worked closely with the Governor for the past four years and re-appointed as Chief Press Secretary, is a round peg in a round hole to do justice to the theme of the media parliament.

The statement further noted that the event would avail the Guest Speaker a forum to interact with top-rated media practitioners with a view to informing, enlightening and educating the citizens as well as bridging the yawning information gap between the policy makers and members of the public.
