The Kwara state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has commended the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, for her giant stride in ensuring healthy living for people in Kwara state.
On Tuesday at the commissioning of the Doctors Hall located at Mandate area in Ilorin, the governor who was represented by the State Head of Service, Susan Oluwole, said the creation of the hall will create jobs for the state residents. He called on the private sector to emulate the NMA in creating more jobs for the people.
Governor Ahmed who saluted the dedication of the doctors for creating time for patients even at the expense of their health, prayed for good health for doctors in Kwara and Nigeria at large.
NMA chairman, Doctor Ayokunle Olawepo said construction of the hall is part of efforts to contribute to the economic development of the state.
According to the chairman, as part of events marking the week long activities of the NMA week, the medical association will visit Ipe in Oyun local government area of the state to provide free medical treatment for the people.
