Kwankwaso says NNPP is in merger talk with labour party .

Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu MUSA KWANKWASO, has said he is in talks with the Labour Party’s (LP) Presidential Candidate, PETER OBI, ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.

Meanwhile, there have been speculations about the possibility of a merger between the NNPP and the LP.

However, in a recent interview, KWANKWASO confirmed the plans of a merger with the Labour Party.

According to Kwankwaso, a former Governor of Kano State, merging with the Labour Party is very significant at this critical moment especially looking at the fact that both PDP and APC Presidential candidates did not pick their running mates from the South- East.

Recall that, former presidential spokesperson Dr Doyin Okupe said he is ‘standing in’ as vice presidential candidate of the Labour party.

Meaning should his candidacy hold, he will run alongside Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential elections.
