The suspect in a stabbing spree in Canada which left 10 people dead and 19 injured has died after being captured by police.
Police authority say the thirty- two year old-Myles Sanderson, experienced “medical distress” after the arrest on a motorway in the province of Saskatchewan following a high-speed chase and died later,.
However, an earlier report from an unnamed official earlier says that Sanderson died of self-inflicted injuries.
Speaking at a press conference, Mark Arcand, whose sister Bonnie Goodvoice-Burns and her son Gregory Burns were among those killed, said: “Words can’t express the pain that we are feeling.”
According to the report, nine of the 10 victims were from James Smith Cree Nation, an indigenous community with nearly 3,500 members with one of the victims named Wesley Petterson, from Weldon, a quiet farming town nearby.
Meanwhile, what prompted Sunday’s mass killings which encompassed 13 separate crime scenes is still not clear but both suspects – Myles Sanderson and his thirty-one year old brother Damien have been confirmed dead.
