Wives of Kano state politician, Garba Fammar, were on Monday night abducted by unknown gunmen in the Kibiya Local Government Area of the state.
Eye witness of the kidnap incident disclosed that about 40 gunmen stormed the residence of the politician around 2:00 a.m.
The suspects were reported to have arrived the town on motorcycles with dangerous weapons.
After their arrival, the gunmen reportedly fired several shots in air to scare people before abducting the two women to an unknown destination.
According to the news report, two members of the vigilante group lost their lives during an encounter with the gunmen.
Spokesperson of the Kano state police, Magaji Majiya, confirmed the story, while noting that Police Commissioner, Maigari Dikko and some top officers had already visited the town.
