Two arrested for catholic priest’s kidnap, murder

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of a catholic priest, Reverend Father Cyriacus Onunkwo.

Onunkwo was allegedly kidnapped by gunmen, last week Friday, from his vehicle in Orlu town, Orlu Local Government Area.

His body was discovered the following day, in a bush in Omuma Village, Oru East Local Government Area.

Okorocha, who disclosed the report of the arrest while speaking at the Government House in Owerri on Wednesday, said that security operatives have arrested two suspects in connection with the crime.

He said, “The suspects are already making reasonable confession that can help police in further investigations,”
