Governor Ahmed Commends Traditional Rulers On Peace

Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has commended royal fathers from Kwara North Senatorial district for maintaining peace and harmony in the zone and the state. Governor Ahmed gave this commendation today at government house in Ilorin while hosting the royal fathers.

According to Governor Ahmed, the royal fathers have played stabilizing factors in ensuring success of government programs and policies in the region.

Governor Ahmed urged the Nigeria Police to do more in tackling various security challenges across the country by collaborating more with the traditional rulers who are custodians of values and traditions of the various communities rather than playing politics with the lives of the people.

The governor promised the police and other security agencies in the state more support in ensuring that the kwara citizens are well protected. Responding on behalf of his colleagues, Etsu Pategi, Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta Umar commended Governor Ahmed for always consulting with the royal fathers on policies and programs of his administration.

Alhaji Chatta pledged unalloyed support and commitment to the progress and development of the state.
