The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has forwarded a letter informing the state house of assembly of His intention to present the year 2023 budget proposal of the State Government to the Assembly on Tuesday 29th November, 2022 by 11am.
The governor’s message was in line with Section 121 sub-section one of the 1999 Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
As reported by our correspondent, Olarotimi OSHIN, a Bill for a Law to amend the Kwara State Public Procurement Law, No.7 of 2018, to provide for State Procurement Certification prior to the Award of Contract and Reduce ultimatum for submission of Bidding passed through third Reading.
The bill was read after the House leader Hon. Magaji Abubakar Olawoyin of Ilorin Central moved a motion for the Bill to be read the Second time and seconded by Hon. John Bello of Lanwa/Ejidongari.
The Speaker of the House, right Honourable Yakubu Danladi Salihu who presided over today’s proceeding directed the Clerk of the House to read the Bill the second time.
The Bill equally passed through Third Reading and Final passage after the Clerk to the House was directed to read the Bill the third time.
