Benin Republic edge Nigeria by lone goal in CHAN Qualifier

Benin Republic secured a slim one-nil win over Nigeria in the first leg CHAN qualifier played in Cotonou on Sunday evening.

Benin Republic scored a late penalty to beat Nigeria in the first leg clash after CHAN Eagles’ Afeez Aremu committed a foul in the eighty-ninth minute.

The CHAN Eagles will hope to turn the table in the second leg, which comes up next weekend in Kano.
