Arewa youth ultimatum: Osinbajo to meet Northern, Igbo leaders

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to meet with Northern elders on Tuesday over an ultimatum given by some northern youths, asking Igbos in the region to leave.

According to Daily Trust, the meeting will take place at 4pm at the Old Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The acting president will also hold a similar meeting with Igbo elders on Wednesday.

A coalition of Northern youths had asked Igbos in the north to leave before October 1 and Northern in Igboland should return home.

The Indigenous People of Biafra in response had supported the move, stating that it will help in the actualization of Biafra.

A prominent Northern elder and former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Ango Abdullahi had also backed the youths.
