News from ekiti state governorship election, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Biodun Oyebanji has described the ongoing exercise as excellent.
Oyebanji who spoke after casting his vote lauded the security arrangement across the state.
However , Former Deputy governor of Ekiti state , Professor Olusola Eleka said he will regard whatever outcome the ongoing Ekiti State governorship race throws up as the will of people.
Eleka, who made the remark after he voted at Unit seven , Ward two Okeruku, Ikere Ekiti, described the ongoing governorship election as fair, transparent and orderly.
Meanwhile Some electorate in Ikere-Ekiti area have decried the non-inclusion of stamp pads in the election materials supplied to the town, alleging that the process has been compromised.
They expressed their displeasure in separate interviews with the Newsmen.
An 85-year-old woman, Caroline Elizabeth, vowed to wait until the stamp pad was produced, saying that she could not afford to be disenfranchised.
Another voter, Mr Isaac Alabi, expressed his displeasure with the situation, saying that why was the INEC officials just observing that there were no stamp pads in the materials given to them three days before the election.
