Condolences As Janaza Prayer For Late Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi Holds Today

The Janaza prayer for the repose of Professor Muhammed Mustapha Olarongbe Akanbi SAN will hold today Monday, November 21, 2022 at Justice Mustapha Akanbi’s residence, number 6 Agbadam Street off Ahmadu Way, GRA Ilorin, by 4pm prompt.

Professor Akanbi, who was until his death the Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University, died at a hospital in Lagos on Sunday, November 20, 2022 after a brief illness. Aged 51, he is survived by wife and children.

Meanwhile, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has described as painful and shocking the death of the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN.

A statement signed by the Governor described the late professor of law as a colossus who played the leading role to open a new chapter of academic excellence and greatness for KWASU.

Similarly, the Emir of Ilorin and Kwara State Council of Chiefs,  Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed sadness over the demise of the Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University, (KWASU) Malete, Professor Muhammed Akanbi SAN, who died on Sunday.

A statement signed by His Royal Highness Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described the incident as quite shocking, unfortunate and saddening stressing that the VC’s death is a colossal loss to the people of Ilorin Emirate, Kwarans and humanity at large.

In the same instance, the President of Royal Media Group, owners of Royal FM Ilorin , Engineer Gbenga Adebayo has described the death of Professor Akambi who he described as his friend a rude shock .

In his condolence message, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo who said the transition of Prof Akanbi came at the time the great achievement were been recorded at the kwara state university ,Malete .

Adebayo also condoled with the immediate family ,university community and Ilorin Emirate .
