A total number of twenty-one female players have resumed camp ahead of the 2023 African Games in Ghana, according to the Nigeria Volleyball Federation.
The Federal Ministry of Sports Development opened camp for all athletes participating in the Africa Games on February 15th and topping the list are: Ijeoma Ukpabi, Aisha Umaru, Comfort Amaouwu, Jummai Bitrus and Albertina Francis.
Coach Samuel Ajayi, who led the women’s team to fourth place at the 12th African Games in Morocco, is looking forward to bettering his position next month in Ghana and said the players have been in camp bankrolled by the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod before the commencement of the second phase.
