has vowed to appeal the judgment sacking him as the governor of the State.
Recall that the Kano Governorship Election Tribunal on Wednesday declared the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Nasiru Gawuna as the winner of the March 18 election.
Reacting to the judgment, the state governor said the judgment is a “misapplication of the law, assuring the public that the legal battle was far from over.
“As human beings, their judgment may not be absolutely perfect, there are errors and misapplication of the law as pointed out by our legal team,” he said.
“That is why our constitution provides for other stages to go on with such as the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. On this note, we have already instructed our legal team to appeal this judgment as soon as possible to ensure that justice is done.”
The Governor also affirmed that this setback would not deter his administration from working towards the development of Kano State, in line with the promises made during the election campaign.
