Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has urged the Super Eagles to go all out when they face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in the semi-finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, on Wednesday, in a bid to avenge the defeat of some Nigerian artists in the hand of South African singer, Tyla, at the 66th Grammys.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian quintet of Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Davido, Asake, and Olamide were snubbed at the 66th Grammys on Sunday, with Tyla, the only non-Nigerian nominee in the maiden Best African Music Performance category, picking up the award.
Reacting in a video message shared via her social media page, Teni pleaded with the Super Eagles players to avenge the Grammy loss of their compatriots by defeating South Africa in the semifinal clash in Cote D’Ivoire.
