The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima has raised an alarm that those who lost out as a result of the removal of subsidy are determined to frustrate government policies and programs.
This was disclosed in Abuja at the 16th Annual Banking and Finance Conference organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Addressing the audience, Vice President Shettima stated that the government know the fuel scam industry is a very hugely loaded industry, claiming that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration remains committed to its decisions, policies and programs. The vice president further vowed that the removal of subsidy is irrevocable.
Speaking on the consequences of recent government policies and programs, Senator Shettima stressed that he must announce with pride that the decisions are already yielding tangible result as both state and federal governments are now enjoying more substantial allocations.
He however, called on the banking community to join the government in rejuvenating the economy.
