Poll: NSCDC Pays Outstanding Allowances, To Deploy 102,000 Officers

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has said it will deploy 102,000 officers, as part of its commitment towards ensuring a hitch-free election.

The Spokesperson for the Corps, Olusola Odumosu disclosed this to the newsmen

Odumosu said that the safety of voters during and after election is a top priority, adding that the elections would be violent free as they are working actively with other security agencies to ensure the security of voters and the facilities of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The NSCDC Spokesperson noted that concerning the plan to deal with perpetrators of vote-buying, all hands are on deck to easily identify the perpetrators and nab them as well as effort are in place to reduce vote-buying.

Odumosu added that operatives of the corps that participated in the 2022 Osun and Ekiti elections have been paid their outstanding allowances.
