Police ban celebrations, rallies by supporters of political parties in Kaduna

The police in Kaduna State have announced a ban on celebrations or rallies by supporters of political parties in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections.

The ban was contained in a statement today, in Kaduna, by DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the command.

The police said any deliberate act to violate the ban or cause breakdown of law and order under whatever guise would not be tolerated, as the full wrath of the law would be bought to bare.

Jalige said the command has deployed and directed security agencies to ensure full enforcement.
