Poland’s new pro-European Union government has dismissed the management teams of Polish public television, radio, and the state news agency PAP.
Additionally, one public news channel, TVP Info, widely criticized for alleged politicization under the previous government, has been taken off the air.
The announcement came from the culture ministry, underlining the government’s commitment to revitalize media outlets and ensure their independence.
Critics argue that state-run media, particularly the 24-hour news channel TVP Info, served as a platform for propaganda during the eight years of Law and Justice (PiS) tenure.
