Osun Governor Dismisses Viral Post On New Civil Servants’ Salary Scale

The Osun State Government has denied rumours that it has implemented a new salary scale for the state’s civil servants.

The state government in a statement signed by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed on Monday described the information as false and misleading noting that the information did not emanate from the state government.

The state government called on the workforce to discountenance the rumoured new salary scale but assured that it will unveil measures to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on civil servants and the larger public at the appropriate time.

It also described the purveyors of the news as the work of mischief makers trying to unnecessarily raise the expectations of workers and trigger disaffection.
